Q:
Hello Some years ago,I was so lucky to get hold on some "original-option" search lights (- for door-mounting,) for my 1953 Mercury. - Now I am going to mount them on my car, but it seems to me that the shafts is a bit to long, - I measured them to be 19 inches "exposed shaft", and I think that around 15 inches will be better. (- I will measure more exact when I get installed one...) The question is.. - Will a pair of new shafts fit my older (1953..?) lamps..? Thank you. Sincerely Øistein Drangberg

A:
1953 Mercury uses a spotlight with a V length shaft. We would need to know the spotlight model to see if current shafts would work.
