Q: Should a spotlight be installed on the post or through the door on a 2003 Ford Explorer? If using a post installation, does the door frame have to be altered in any way?

A: 2003 Ford Explorer is a door mount application. The light mounts through the door frame. 229 installation kit is used for driver side and 229RH for passenger side to mount a spotlight with a V length shaft.
