Replacement bulbs
50's car with dual spotlights. One bulb cracked over the winter. I wasn't sure I could find a replacement, but very happy when I did. Perfect in every respect and quick shipping. Thanks for having what I needed.

Q:
I have an orig 5" Guide S-18 spotlight for my 54 Chevy sedan that is 6v. will this fit as replacement? and how to connect wiring as the S-18 is a one wire bulb? also any mount kits for left side door mount? Thanks!

A:
Guide lights were manufactured by a different company. We do not have any parts for them and we do not know if any of our parts would work with their lights.
For our 5" spotlight this would be the correct 12 volt replacement lamp. It is standard PAR36 lamp. We do not know how Guide wires there light. Ours need two wires. One to connect to the power coming from the car and one to self ground into the body of the spotlight.
For our 5" spotlight a 31 installation kit would be used for driver side door mount and 31RH for passenger side. We do not know if Guide light would fit correctly into our mounting hardware and would guess that it would not.

Q:
I have a S5 and S6 spotlight on my 1949 Chevy truck and I am looking for 12 volt replacement bulbs that are retro to the time era. Is this the bulb that I need?

A:
12 volt lamp for vintage S6 spotlights is U-4435. Model S5 spotlights existed in the change over to sealed beam lamps. U-4435 will work for versions designed for sealed beams, but not for older versions that have seperate bulb, lens and reflector.
