Q: Is the black piece that there are three of inside the head of the spot light that cushions the light assembly from the rear plastic housing?

A: No, these are white foam gaskets used inside model S04 series 335, 325 & W335 lights to support the lamp. The black gaskets are U-7729-0002 and our used to support lamp in 330 series lights.
