Application combination of a install kit and a spotlight depend on the vehicle they are being mounted on. Different vehicles require a different combinations of install kit and spotlight. We would need to know the make, model and year of the vehicle to be able to say if they would work.

229 and 229RH are a sided pair, one going on one side and the other on opposite side. The side that they fit on will depend on the vehicle that they are being mounted on. A bracket being listed as RH does not mean it is always on right side. Sometimes we find that a bracket that was originally designed for right side of a vehicle may work great on left side of a different vehicle. For example 2004-2014 Ford F-150 used 184RH installation kit for driver side and 184 kit for passenger side.

1950 Pontiac 4 door sedan should use 37 installation kit for driver side or 37RH installation kit for passenger side. They should be used to mount spotlight with A length shaft. This application should only be used on vehicles with door molding.

A: No, a 2010 Dodge Charger uses a 253 installation kit for driver side mount. It should be used to mount a spotlight with a CF 46 shaft.
