Q: why doesn't a "259 " drivers side bracket come up in the search ? all is see are gaskets and a 259RH which I believe would be a passenger side bracket

If you are asking how to remove a spotlight from the bracket, the handle of the spotlight needs to be removed from the shaft, the bracket loosened and then the light pulled out of the vehicle. If you are trying to do something else please let us know.

A: Yes the gasket for this kit is part U-3015-259-R

I was not able to replicate the issue. When I searched 259 and it came right up as first option. Sometimes with installation kits it helps to add "in" to search. Example "259 IN" for looking for the 259.
