Q:
which pair of amber fog lights produce the most flat beam low angle beam , the round or rectangular ? I would assume the latter . I purchased a second pair of fog lights from another manufacturer and the second set (same exact model as first set) performs unacceptably for some reason. I did recall Unity brand from my truckin' days so I have contacted you about your porducts..I am looking for an amber fog light that casts a low angle beam without the unwanted reflected glare in fog and snow...thank you

A:
In theory all fog lights should cut off at the exact same point and not shine above that. It sounds like the second pair may have been defective.
Both the round and the rectangle fog lights are rated to cut off at the same point. As this question is specifically on the 5" round, will say the rectangle fog lights have a little wider and brighter beam. Otherwise it is mostly whether you like the look of round of rectangle.
