Has this ever happened to you; you have a vehicle that you want to mount some Unity Spotlights on. You go to our website or a distributor to see what is available. Much to your surprise there are several spotlights available and all of them appear to be the same light, but how can there be so many part numbers for the same light?. The reason for this is the shaft of the spotlight needs to be different for different vehicles. We wish this weren't the case, we would love to have a single spotlight that fit everything, but that just isn't possible. For the single spotlight series we have around 50 different shaft options, ranging is lengths, rotations, OEM features, bushing types/locations, and some specific changes. In addition to getting the correct shaft, you also need the right mounting bracket for your vehicle and we have over 500 different versions of those, designed to match different shapes and angles of mounting locations. With all these options how do you land on the right parts? We have the Spotlight Application Search for that. Using the search you can get a list of all the spotlights that fit your vehicle, along with mounting kits needed.

(The application search is not new, we have had it on our website for years, this is updated post for our new website design.)

To find the Application Search, you need to first click on the SEARCHES tab on the top navigation bar of our website.

Once you have clicked on SEARCHES tab, the SEARCHES page will come up. Here are listed different specifically searches including the spotlight application search, search for local distributors, a search for what vehicles a bracket fits and a parts search. We are going to click on Application Search to use the Spotlight Application Search.

Once you have clicked on the Application Search,  the search will come up. Part way down you should see three dropdown boxes that are for Year, Make, and Model.

Theses represent the identifying information for your vehicle that you wish to mount the spotlight on. For example a 2017 Ford F250 would be entered as:

Year 2017
Make: Ford
Model : F250-F550 SUPERDUTY

It make take a little time for the system to process your selection before providing the next set of options available. It is searching through a very large database. All information is sourced from our main application database. This is the most up to date and accurate application listings available. After you have selected your options. click submit to pull up the information page for the vehicle.

Listings will come up with spotlights that would be used around the model year. This is a current vehicle so all current model spotlights come up. For a vintage vehicle, such as one from the 40s, vintage spotlight part numbers will come up instead.

Having the wrong printer settings can distort the size of the template possibly putting the bracket in the wrong location or preventing the bracket and template from lining up.
